Lennox Gardner
Executive Director, Social Security
Mr. Gardner joined the staff of Social Security in December, 1972, as an inspector. He was quickly promoted to the position of Chief Inspector and Administrative Officer; then in 1986 he assumed the position of Director of Social Security. In his 32 years with the Organization, Mr. Gardner has been a key player in the evolvement of the scheme into a successful institution. Mr. Gardner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Century University and has been awarded certificates of participation in several business and Social Security courses and seminars.
Henson James
Representative, Employers
Mr. James is an alumnus of the Princess Margaret School. After graduation, he entered the civil service, where he remained for the next nine years. He entered the Insurance Industry in 1971 as a Sales Representative with British American Insurance and served as a past Secretary/Treasurer of the Insurance Association. He currently functions in the capacity of Agency Manager at BAI and is Vice President of the Insurance Institute of Antigua and Barbuda. Mr. James is also Vice President of the Antigua And Barbuda National Choir and President of the Lebanon Moravian Men’s Fellowship.
David “Jack” Kelsick
Chairman, Government Representative
Mr. Kelsick returns to Social Security, having worked in the position of Director of the Scheme from 1973 to 1976. He graduated Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, in 1969 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He then went on to pursue courses in Public Accounting in the Chartered Accountant Degree at McGill University in Montreal as well as several professional development courses in United States. Mr. Kelsick went to work for the OECS as Training Officer in 1981 and remained with the organization for the next sixteen years, rising to the position of Chief of Finance and Administration in 1985, and Officer Charge, Economic Affairs Secretariat in 1996. He is currently a financial consultant to local businesses and a Public Auditing Member of the Antigua & Barbuda Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Bernard Attwood

Mr. Attwood graduated the Ottos Comprehensive School in 1988. He entered the work force in 1989 as a Junior Labour Statistical Officer in the Ministry of Labour. Later that
same year, he moved to the Ministry of Aviation as Air Traffic Control Assistant. He moved through the ranks, participating in and successfully completing a number of Air Traffic-related courses in Antigua, Trinidad and England, and was appointed Senior Air Traffic controller in 2003 and Supervisor in 2004. Mr. Attwood is presently the President of the Guild of Antigua and Barbuda Air Traffic Control Officers (GABATCO)
Roslyn V. Zachariah
Board Secretary
Ms. Zachariah is an alumnus of the Princess Margaret School and a past secretary of her school’s Students’ Association. She is a member of the Lions Club and currently serves in the capacity of Director. Ms. Zachariah is employed in the chambers of Senator Collin Derrick. Her hobbies are baking and traveling.
David Jonas

Mr. Jonas graduated the Goodwill Academy and went to work for the Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union as an Industrial Relations Officer. He remained at the AWU until 1980 when he assumed the position of Development Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands and Fisheries. Mr. Jonas returned to the AWU in 2002 where he remains in the position of General Secretary. Over the years, he successfully participated in the labour-related courses in Italy and Washington ,D.C.
