  2. All employers and self-employed persons are reminded that remittance payments for September 2019 are due no later than 14th October 2019 to avoid the 10% surcharge. Further, employers are asked to take due care when submitting the monthly Remittance Form [R5A] as any incomplete or incorrect information will attract a penalty fee of $100 per page. N.B.: For 2019, contribution rates are: Private Sector - 13 % a) Employees - 5½ % b) Employers - 7½ % Public Sector - 12 % a) Employees - 4½ % b) Employers - 7½ % The contribution rate for Self-employed persons is 10% of declared earnings. The Organization continues to experience funding challenges due to the low returns of remittances. Every effort is being made to secure the necessary funds. Our aim is to release the pension funds for the Bank of Nova Scotia and Royal Bank of Canada on or before Wednesday 11 September 2019. Again, we apologize to our pensioners who have been affected by the current situation.
